From New York City, Rockland County and New Jersey via Palisades Parkway

  • On New Jersey side of George Washington Bridge, take Palisades Parkway North
  • Palisades Parkway North to the Bear Mountain Bridge
  • Cross Bear Mountain Bridge; at end of bridge make left onto Route 9D North

Highlands Country Club entrance is approximately 4 miles on the left

Alternate Route from New York City via Sawmill River Parkway

  • Take West Side Highway to Henry Hudson Parkway North to Sawmill River Parkway North
  • Exit 26; Taconic State Parkway North
  • Exit Route 9A/100 North (Highlands is approximately 25-30 minutes from this point)
  • Route 9A merges with Route 9 North; continue on Route 9 North
  • At intersection of Route 403 and Route 9, make left onto Route 403 (Traffic Light)
  • At the intersection of Route 403 and Route 9D, make left onto Route 9D (Traffic Light)

From White Plains

  • Take Interstate 287 West to Sprain Brook Parkway North to Taconic State Parkway North
  • Exit Route 9A/100 North (Highlands is approximately 25-30 minutes from this point)
  • Route 9A merges with Route 9 North; continue on Route 9 North
  • At intersection of Route 403 and Route 9, make left onto Route 403 (Traffic Light)
  • At the intersection of Route 403 and Route 9D, make left onto Route 9D (Traffic Light)

From Long Island

  • Cross the Whitestone bridge and merge onto the Hutchinson Parkway
  • Take Hutchinson River Parkway North to Cross County Parkway West
  • Cross County Parkway West to Sprain Brook Parkway North to Taconic State Parkway North
  • Exit Route 9A/100 North (Highlands is approximately 25-30 minutes from this point)
  • Route 9A merges with Route 9 North; continue on Route 9 North
  • At intersection of Route 403 and Route 9, make left onto Route 403.
  • At the intersection of Route 403 and Route 9D, make left onto Route 9D (Traffic Light)

From Danbury

  • Route 84 West to Exit 13 South (Peekskill); turn right onto Route 9 South
  • Travel approximately 10 miles on Route 9 South
  • At intersection of Route 9 and Route 301, make a right onto Route 301 (At traffic light)
  • At next traffic light, intersection of Route 301 and Route 9D, turn left onto Route 9D south
  • Continue approximately 10 miles through Garrison. At intersection of Route 403 and 9D, continue straight (Traffic Light)

From Newburgh

  • Take Route 84 East over the Newburgh Beacon Bridge
  • Take Exit 11 (RT-9D) toward WAPPINGER FALLS/BEACON – Turn right (South) on Route 9D
  • Continue to follow Route 9D - go approximately 12.5 mi
  • At intersection of Route 403 and 9D, continue straight (Traffic Light)
